For the first time in history, more than half of the human population is living in cities. Estimates suggest that more than 3 million people worldwide migrate into cities every week, according to the International Organization for Migration. That number is nearly equivalent to the current population of Chicago.

The city ministry of Cru® partners with other Christians, like those featured in the video below, to advance the mission of Jesus for the well-being of cities in the U.S. and around the world.

The ministry currently focuses on four groups:

• Millennials — young individuals entering the workplace
• Neighbors — people around us in our everyday lives
• Influentials — those with significant relationship networks
• Conveners — leaders coming together to meet the city’s deepest needs

“The city won’t transform without transformed individuals,” says Wade Norman, a youth worker in Chicago. “And I praise God that He’s placed people in the city like this, because revival will happen.”
